Trelleborg Polyurethane Products provides innovative polymer-based solutions for key industries within the Defence, Rail and Industry sectors. We are a standalone product area positioned within of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, who have a total of around 21,000 employees around the world.

About the Job
We are looking for the successful applicant to facilitate building costing estimations and quotations, after analysing project requirements. The estimator will be part of the internal sales team who are responsible for supporting existing business across all product areas at Trelleborg Retford, while securing new business either from existing clients or attracting new customers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors, vendors and customers
- Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame
- Assessing the risk levels associated with a project
- Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done
- Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
- Efficiently resolving accurate internal resources within TPPL in order to meet the customer requirements and stay in sync with company policies
- Developing and implement costings and quotations to ensure these are aligned with customer needs
- Scheduling the timely execution of quotation activities to ensure customer requirements are met
- Determining the level of Design Engineering required when formulating a quotation to align with customer specification within a given timescale
- Internal sales calls to customers, chasing of quotations within appropriate timescales
- Ensuring that company processes, systems and tools are used accurately and consistently
- Creating of new quotes ensuring accurate information is acquired
- Fulfilling all Trelleborg duties and driving continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
The position calls for a candidate that has the ability to build strong customer relationships, with knowledge or an understanding of 3D modelling software being desirable. Proven understanding of a Sales and Estimating process would be helpful, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
Communication is a key part of this role as you will interact with internal and external partners. Therefore we want someone who has strong persuasion, and negotiation skills, with an ability to connect with staff at all organisational levels. As an excellent team player you will also be results and solutions driven and will go above and beyond to build an excellent customer experience. We are also looking for a someone who will contribute towards our way of doing business; but will come up with innovative solutions and understands the important role they play in the overall success of the company.
