We are currently seeking a Financial Controller and will be responsible for supporting the PG director and drive financial planning, reporting and analysis for the organization. The role is responsible for statutory reporting, compliance and process improvement across four legal entities in four different countries. The key role for the finance team and three regional organization, with a high visibility across the wider Business Unit. The role is responsible for revenue recognition for the PG, ensuring the correct policy and procedures are followed and that the revenue recognition is backed up and audit ready. This role is also responsible for ensuring month end accounts are collated and correct across the PG for presentation to the PA..

The successful candidate will report to the Marine Fenders PG Director who is based out of Sydney and dotted line report to PA Financial Controller based in Dubai.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Manage reporting deadlines within their own organization based on the timetable given by the PA Controller
  • Drive Latest Estimate process for the PG, ensuring accurate estimates for future revenue, profit and OCF through close collaboration with regional project teams
  • Manage statutory reporting for underlying legal entities, coordinating with local teams and Financial Shared Services organization
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
  • Full responsibility for revenue recognition within the PG
  • Close collaboration with project management teams, arranging weekly project update meetings
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the PG Director
  • Provide financial information to help the PG Director and respective GMs make decisions
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the ERP systems for the different legal entities
  • Drive system implementation and improvement projects across the PG
  • Ensure coherent usage of project accounting principles in the PG
  • Drive legal entity audit processes to ensure Group deadlines are met
  • Ensuring internal control processes are aligned within the Business Unit and follow Group principles

Main experience and education we expect:

University diploma with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

10+ years in manufacturing accounting as a financial controller, preferably in an international environment and using IFRS.

Experience:

  • Accounting
  • IT processes – ERP
  • Financial reporting
  • Worked in a multi-national company
  • Experience of implementation of change control
  • Experience of working with project accounting is a plus
