The position performs activities in the area of tax accounting, tax reporting, tax advisory and control of business activities from taxation point of view. Its responsibilities cover all types of taxes specific for legal entities it is responsible for, especially Income Tax and VAT. It covers other reporting requirements like statistics or customs reporting. It oversees compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements in the area of taxation or similar areas.
It is able to design system checks and to communicate with ERP or IT specialists to improve preparation of tax or other regulatory reports. ERP knowledge is a requirement.
The position will also cover the operating part of Treasury, managing bank accounts in multi currency and ensuring daily bank reconciliations. It is in regular contact with stakeholders internally and externally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure appropriate, complete and correct picture of company´s financial performance
- Setup of appropriate system of accounting including Accounting Guidelines, Chart of Accounts and maintenance of accounting rules and master data in the ERP
- Completion and review of financial reports and their analysis
- Cooperation with auditors, tax advisors and tax authorities to achieve positive recognition
- Prepare tax or similar regulatory reports especially in complex environment properly and in time
- Prepare accounting records for the area of taxes, customs and other regulatory areas
- Prepare regular reporting for area of taxation
- Monitor tax and other regulatory changes and to give advice for adjustment of processes
- Cooperate and maintain relations with tax, customs or similar state authorities
- Manage the daily operativity of bank accounts
- Ensure ledgers‘ reconciliations at least on a monthly basis
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University degree with 5+ years of experience in the area of taxes
- Experience on ERP, Finance module
- Good skills in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Fluent in English
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently, being part of a small team
- Communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to monitor deadlines
- Availability to work overtime in peak times
- Willing to grow in a multinational environment
