About the job

Trelleborg’s Marine and Infrastructure operation is looking for an excellent communicator to join the global marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving external-facing communication activities with an emphasis on global market-facing campaigns, thought-leadership, media relations and content development and management.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing Manager and across functional and regional partners to develop consistent messaging and credible tone of voice that reflect our leading market position and to support business growth.

As this is a global role, travelling may be required.

  • Lead all aspects of all marketing content development/initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience
  • Researching related industry trends, exciting editorial stories, and competitors’ activities
  • Working closely with the BU Marketing Manager, cross-functional and regional teams to develop content strategy and communications plan with the objective to generate quality leads, extending brand influence, accelerate pipeline conversion and growing market share
  • Develop and handle content calendar and ensure the relevant internal partners are on board
  • Update existing and build new marketing collateral to support sales growth and development within the businesses, including presentations, brochures, product data sheets, webinars, photos, video and animations.
  • Develop engaging, creative content and copy for PR and customer-facing materials and campaigns which includes writing press releases, features, technical papers, case studies, comment pieces, keynote presentations, blogs, videos, webinars and whitepapers and other marketing assets
  • Editing and proofreading all content before publication
  • Plan, implement, and supervise earned media strategy and activities
  • Review monthly earned media results and implement improvement where needed
  • Building and leading media relationships and outreach to ensure high-level online and print placements and presence
  • Evaluate partnerships, sponsorships and speaking opportunities to ensure alignment with business objectives and that our subject matter authorities and organizational leaders are represented at conferences that deliver optimum brand and thought-leadership amplification

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Ideally a bachelor’s degree in PR, Journalism, Advertising or Communications; minimum 3 years’ experience in PR, marketing communications or related fields
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communications skills with a knack for crafting compelling story angles and selling them into the media and other partner groups
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills
  • Experienced in technical writing and possesses the ability to optimally translate sophisticated technical information into simple, polished, and engaging go-to-market content
  • Experienced with working in a global or regional set up
  • Good time management, proactive and able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Ideally has knowledge and experience in the maritime, infrastructure, engineering or manufacturing environments but if no formal professional exposure, the candidate must demonstrate a keen interest in learning and acquiring the relevant industry knowledge to build compelling content
  • Strong project and vendor leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and keen attention to details
  • Strong eye for business with a strategic approach
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Good knowledge in digital marketing
  • A great teammate able to work well with all levels of people across various regions and cultures
  • Flair for creative and innovative thinking and possesses problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter who can deliver with minimal direction
  • Excellent understanding of and ability to apply modern marketing principles and is abreast with the latest marketing trends
  • Possesses high level of integrity with good work ethics
