Responsible for supporting regional sales and marketing of the full range of Trelleborg Marine Systems North America, Inc. (TMSNA) marine fender systems and related products. The Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) will play a critical role in effectively receiving, processing, & managing, North America sales & project opportunity data within the TMSNA CRM database, and efficiently processing incoming work orders from internal & external clients. The ISE role will span across the entire sales cycle from early business development & prospecting activities, all the way through project completion & client follow-ups. In this technical sales support role, the ISE will contribute to growing TMSNA sales by executing strategic sales plans, effectively engaging internal and external resources, and strengthening relationships with TMSNA existing clients, market influencers, business partners, and prospects. This is an entry / junior level technical sales position, intended to prepare success driven individuals for elevated roles within the organization based on their personal performance, engagement, aptitude, and demeanor.

• Assist in coordination of, and attend, the following strategic objectives: Conferences, exhibitions, seminars (including Lunch and Learn sessions) and events related to the marine industry Support collaborative relationships with regional, partners, consultants, agents, industry bodies (PIANC, etc), and end user. Provide manager feedback with regional market political, economic and related industry trends. Provide manager with feedback on Competitor status, activities, and products. Support achievement of weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives. Assist in forecasting of sales volume and profit for current and new product sales.

• Business Development

Identify, research, and contact prospective target growth customers that will generate future sales and repeat business. Pursue sales leads with a consultative selling approach across defined Marine Fender Market Segments in order to convert into opportunities for quotation. Convert opportunities to sales orders to meet regional sales targets

• Work with TMSNA technical team and other Trelleborg businesses and external parties to: Generate high-quality proposals that meet client requirements (and relevant statutory obligations), clearly define the scope of work, product details, timeframes, obligations, and maximize the return on sale. Generate accurate technical and commercial qualification schedule that clearly conveys compliance or deviation from the client’s requests. Negotiate price and contract review within the limits of delegation of authority and in compliance with Trelleborg legal and commercial requirements.

• Ensure that project handover from sales to the project team is seamless, efficient, and clear. Lead existing relationships through regular contact and continually seek opportunities to increase customer happiness, deepen client relationships, and better understand their business needs and goals. Ensure that voice of the client is collected (complaints and praise) in the quality system.

• Sales Procedures

Ensure that sales processes and procedures are followed. Establishes effective procedures to ensure accuracy. Strive for continuous business improvement and efficiency gains including gathering data from lessons learned feedback and quality processes. Ensure engagement and accurate data/collaborating with other departments (where required).

• Reporting

Ensure CRM data entry is complete and accurate (updated weekly as a minimum). Ensure that all data is gathered centrally in a secure location according to company policies. Generate group sales reporting in line with company format and submission schedules.

• Marketing

Support manager in the production and review of marketing materials for the region. Assist manager in rolling out global and regional marketing strategies, including campaigns, whitepapers, electronic media, etc. Identify gaps in marketing assets and pre-award documentation which is required in support of the regional Sales & Marketing plan.

• Quality

Responsible for following the QMS and its procedures. Includes reporting of non- conformances and providing preventive/corrective actions in area of expertise. Finds opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. Responsible for upholding company Code of Conduct and Core Values

• Innovation

Gather innovative ideas and concepts from the internal company and external sources. Contribute to increasing any business process that can improve sales and marketing efficiency and throughput.
