About the Job

The Quality Manager role is part of the senior leadership team. You will have the opportunity to work in a growing, fast paced environment that provides seals and bearings to critical industrial, medical and aerospace industries.  Your responsibilities will include managing all quality functions including maintaining the quality system and managing core activities of the quality team at TSS Denver.

About the Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidates should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cohesively in a diverse work environment.  Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities quickly.

Tasks and Responsibilities also include

  • Responsible for overall delivery of quality goals for TSSD
  • Performs implementation and maintenance of Quality System
  • Ensures ongoing ISO / AS compliance
  • Supports internal and external audits/assessments
  • Performs root cause analysis of quality problems
  • Performs implementation of Corrective Action
  • Works directly with customers and suppliers on quality issues & quality audits
  • Provides manufacturing and production support
  • Performs Quality control and implementation of continuous improvement
  • Supports process engineering and develops & maintains process documents
  • Supports Customer Service with respect to contract review.
  • Continuously drives process improvements/initiatives throughout areas of responsibility to improve profitability (Mfg. Excellence)
  • Coordinates inspection requirements for receipt of production materials
  • Travel as the need arises to meet with key vendors, customers, for training, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must understand quality management system (ISO/TS/AS), document control system, inspection/test methods and equipment, industry specifications, and internal auditing.
  • Must understand operations management including manufacturing/shop floor practices, inventory control and receiving processes.
  • Must have the ability to conduct commercial contract reviews.
  • Have the ability to read and evaluate drawings, specifications and procedures to identify requirements. This also includes knowledge of and use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • This person needs to have excellent analytical skills to communicate the standards and documents effectively.
  • Must have high level of attention to detail and advanced problem solving skills (root cause analysis).

Education and Experience

Minimum BS Degree with emphasis in Science, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. 


  • Aviation Background
  • Manufacturing/Supply Chain Background
  • Experience with the following standards preferred
  • ISO 9001
  • AS 9100
  • ISO 14001
  • OHSAS 18001
  • FAA TSO C150

15+ years in quality management in a manufacturing/aviation environment and experience in an AS 9100 certified manufacturing environment
