The Business (Process) Analyst is responsible for analyzing, configuring and enhancing system capabilities for TSS processes to improve overall performance and ensure that required system configuations support blueprint design, requirements and objectives in own functional area. The Business (Process) Analyst works closely with Business Process Owners, Business Process Engineers and Business Analysts as well as other stakeholders in IS&BPM to analyze requirements, propose solution design, configure and implement future system set-up in respective functional area and TSS-wide projects.

Scope of your role

  • Review and detail out Business Requirements, specify IT solution design and implementation approach
  • Identification of system improvement potential
  • Participate in feasibility studies (PoC), e.g. for project initialization
  • Process analysis and PoC testing support
  • Analysis and consolidation of required configuration objects
  • System/module configuration and customization
  • Support in planning and definition for functional, integration tests and UAT scenarios
  • Execution and “hands on” support for functional, integration tests and UAT
  • System Training of key users as applicable
  • Documentation of solution design, IMG customization settings and RICEFW objects
  • Ensuring IT Governance procedures are followed, e.g. through Solution Architect Review, Change Request Meetings and OTRS Support Ticket monitoring
  • Support colleagues and users during test and Hypercare phases
  • Establishing and maintaining networks with BPEs, Business Analysts and DevOps

In case of involvement in application development:

  • Work with TSS Business Stakeholders, Business Process Engineers and Business or Application Analysts to define acceptance criteria
  • Review and support ”sign-off” procedures for functional requirements
  • Define and develop test scope, test case documents and manuals as applicable
  • Support regression testing e.g. for system upgrades
  • Document functionality, user manuals and develop training materials
  • Support in Hypercare Ticket resolution

What defines you

  • Degree in, Information Technology, Informatics, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable
  • 2-5 years of experience in relevant SAP system module (application) configuration, system build and Software implementation projects
  • Solid understanding of core processes and SAP Best Practices with a specialization in ERP modules, experience in SAP EWM beneficial
  • Experience with implementation of SAP executables and SAP Transport Management
  • Experience with ERP systems preferably SAP (JD Edwards, MS Navision or Fourth Shift beneficial)
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 beneficial
  • Experience with Jira Atlassian Kanban Board for Software Engineering
  • IT controlling and auditing experience beneficial
  • Proven ability to understand business requirements and translate them into IT requirements
  • Proficient in process analysis and re-engineering methods
  • Proficient in process modelling using common BPM notations, e.g. BPMN, EPC
  • Proven process application knowledge background in area of functional responsibility
  • Support of small to mid-size teams as part of bigger roll out team during all relevant phases of a SAP implementation programme
  • Fluent in English
