Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical is seeking a Automation Technician to join their team. Performs installation, maintenance and/or repairs of company equipment with a focus on automated systems.

Qualifications:
Required:
-
2 year technical degree with an automation focus OR equivalent experience
Desired:
- Experience with clean room manufacturing
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoots and repairs automated production equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Uses knowledge of PLCs to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perrforms minor adjustments to vision inspection systems.
• Assists automation engineering in the build of automated cells.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities on automated equipment.
• Completes emergency repairs as necessary to minimize costly downtime and to maintain production schedules.
• Maintains company equipment.
• Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.
• Retrieves supplies from merchant vendors as needed
Competencies:
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively
• Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver a world class performance
• Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with PLC logic and computerized machine controls
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, drawings, and schematics
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of applicable Work Instructions and SOP’S
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of robotics, vision inspection systems automated controls and electricity
