To support our Trelleborg Sealing Solutions – Aerospace Hub Europe S&W team in Maisons-Laffitte (France), we are looking for you as a Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer (m/f/d).

The primary role of the Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer is to be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts, and maximizing sales opportunities within them.

You will be expected to manage customer relationships through the entire business cycle from sales to cash collection. Furthermore, you will be expected to identify new business opportunities, generate a project pipeline and convert profitable new business opportunities in selected segments.

In your role, you will be responsible for a geographical territory or customer portfolio and will act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions, working as part of the Aerospace team in contributing towards the achievement of objectives.

Scope of your role

  • Develop and monitor customer plans/strategies for growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business, new target areas, and market segments
  • Build strong relationships, make customer visits, and generate customer visit reports
  • Visit customers with Sales Assistants and/or Application Engineer and visit TSS plants with customers
  • Manage customer account creation  and participate in sales meetings and trade shows
  • Work closely with our internal customer service teams to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Promote the strengths and capabilities of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in targeted growth markets
  • Develop new requests for quotation, monitor target performances,  coordinate proposals, and follow-ups
  • Be responsible for payment of customer’s invoices and actively participate in cash collection
  • Achieving sales and gross margin ambitions and customer satisfaction

Your Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales and display an attitude that is key to success.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills, as well as a highly self-motivated attitude
  • Professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering or industry-relevant experience
  • Independent working approach, able to communicate proactively information that may be useful to the head office business relationship
  • Commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and ability to communicate with internal & external partners
  • Fluent in English (spoken, read & written), ideally completed with a second foreign language
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office, ability to work with IT tools: ERP tools and workflows
