Trelleborg Polyurethane Products provides innovative polymer-based solutions for key industries within the Defense, Rail and Industry sectors. We are a standalone product area positioned within one of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, who have a total of around 21,200 employees around the world.
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our HSEQ Team at our Retford, UK site. The HSEQ department is responsible for quality management, assurance and control activities aimed at ensuring compliance with relevant quality management system standards. Summary of the Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality aspects for products and processes to meet our customers' requirements and work closely with different internal partners.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support the ongoing management of business management system processes, and procedures and ensure detailed evidence is maintained.
- Plan and conduct internal audits in line with the audit schedule.
- Assist the HSEQ Manager in coordinating, evaluating, developing action plans and follow up of audit findings
- Facilitate client initiated audits.
- Ensure that CARs are closed out in a timely manner and resolved to client’s satisfaction
- Assist with the activities to preserve ISO certifications
- Assist with and collate data for the monthly quality report to effectively communicate the status of the business management system compliance, including current issues and status of resolutions.
- Engage in ongoing communication with customers, acting as liaison to resolve outstanding quality issues, provide audit follow-up, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure that established quality and process procedures remain effective
- Support the HSEQ Manager in plan assessments of the company’s critical suppliers/vendors.
- Review and approve process and QC documentation to release products for distribution.
- Maintain awareness of the importance of training evidence to ensure all employees have received all vital training
- Provide guidance for staff questions and solutions for quality issues
- Supervise investigations of production/quality problems with manufactured products.
Competencies:
The position calls for an individual who holds a recognised qualification (at the least ONC / HNC / HND) in mechanical and production engineering or relevant fields. · Ideally you will have minimum 2 years of ISO 9001 Quality management in a manufacturing or engineering industry, including previous experience of performing QMS audits.
You must also be able to demonstrate confident communication and problem-solving skills.
