Who are we?
Trelleborg Antivibration Solutions develops and produces anti-vibration components and system solutions. These are used in the rail vehicle industry, wind energy, agricultural and construction machinery and various selected industrial applications. Here they enable optimal performance in terms of service life and quality. Innovative products and a holistic understanding of vibration-related connections make Trelleborg Antivibration Solutions a development partner for well-known industrial customers all over the world.
About the Job
In this role you will develop and construct elastomer-based, vibration-damping components for rail vehicles ("rubber-metal parts" and air spring systems). As well, you will be in charge of the creation of user documentation and FMEAs and the collection of RAMS/LCC datas. We are searching for a candidate who is an excellent teammate, is adept to undertake work on their own initiative and has a desire and aim to implement a ME culture in our workplace.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will include further responsibilities:
- Technical project management and deadline tracking for development projects up to series production
- Technical contact for our customers (component selection, problem solving)
- Checking and commenting on customer specifications
- Design (analytical / if necessary FEA) constructions of the components and systems
- Checking and approval of the detailed construction under the aspects of function / manufacturability / costs
- Creation / moderation of K-FMEA's
- Creation of test plans for type and service life tests
- Support in carrying out the specified tests (stiffness/ durability)
- Support of the quality department with first article inspections
- Series support of the product throughout the product lifetime
- Supporting global clients
About the Ideal Candidate:
The Project Engineer / Development Engineer will have experience in a similar role / relevant field. You will also have:
- Completed technical Studies in the field of mechanical engineering, vehicle technology or similar
- Sound knowledge of technical mechanics, broad engineering knowledge, ideally FEA basic knowledge
- Knowledge of creating FMEA's and user documentations
- Safe handling of MS Office applications and a CAD program (Autodesk Inventor / Solid Works)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of spoken and written German
