Summary of Role: 

 

The Manufacturing Execution System Analyst supports digital manufacturing activities in a cluster of manufacturing plants. Those facilities will host digital champions and the Manufacturing Execution System Analyst will liaise with them to ensure completion of projects.

 

Task and Responsibilities: 

  • Consult and support a cluster of plants in their digital transformation, where the General Managers and Digital Champions are the main counterparts
  • Lead the technical side of manufacturing digitization projects in Trelleborg’s production sites
  • Support the development of the digital transformation roadmap for assigned plants and develop a technical concept to implement the roadmap
  • Contribute to the advancement of tools for digital manufacturing (OEE, Improved Process Control, Digital Tracking, Digital Root-cause problem solving, Digitized SMED, Maintenance Management, Advanced Analytics)
  • Analyze needs of production sites regarding digitization and convert into requirements for software development or software vendor selection
  • Identify and leverage synergies between the initiatives in each plant
  • Implement new tools for data management and digital manufacturing
  • Hands-on setup and maintenance of data pipelines and data management systems
  • Serve as an interface to other IT departments, such as infrastructure and applications
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, business management, information systems, engineering, or related discipline required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Profound knowledge of manufacturing operational technology and/or information technology
  • Experience in advanced data management for operational data
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in operations, IT or consulting
  • High ability to learn new methods and technologies
  • Ability to manage and successfully complete a portfolio of multiple projects
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently on projects
