Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical is seeking an CNC Tool Maker join the team. Using CAM software to create CNC programs, the CNC Tool Maker selects the appropriate tools, machining methods, fixturing, and sequence of operations to manufacture tooling components to design specifications. Performs all aspects of machine set up and operation, including process engineering, program alterations, and part inspection.

Education and Experience
Required:
- Two-year technical degree in Machine Tool Technology related field or equivalent combination of skills and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Experience using machine tool probing systems and laser tool setters
- Experience in at least one CAD system
Desired:
- 3-5 years programming in at least one CAM system, including creation of 3D surfacing toolpaths
- 5+ years of experience setting up and operating machine tools
- Formal training or certification in at least one CAD or CAM software system
- Multi-axis machine operation and programming
- Multi-channel programming and synchronization
- Experience with automated workpiece changers (Pallet Systems) or flexible manufacturing cells
- Post processor modification
- Fanuc Macro B programming
- EDM experience (Wire, Sinker, Hole Drill)
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes CAM Software to create, verify, and troubleshoot CNC programs for multiple machine types, such as 3,4, & 5 axis mills, multi-axis lathes, mill-turns, Swiss-type sliding headstock lathes, EDM drill, and Wire & Sinker EDM’s
- Evaluates CAD models and engineering drawings to determine programming and machining requirements
- Communicates and collaborates with other programmers and Tool Makers to develop and execute specific operations plans for machining tooling components
- Selects the proper machine, tooling, speeds, feeds, depths of cut, over-burn, offsets, cycles, and settings as required to manufacture parts/components to design specifications
- Performs set ups, program creation and modification, and all process tasks required to complete tooling related work center operations
- Responsible for program revision and file management in accordance with standard practices
- Designs, programs, & constructs fixtures for work-holding, manufacturing and measurement of tooling components and machined parts.
- Collaborates with Designers, Engineers, and Tool Makers to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
- Monitors workload and works with other programmers to plan, prioritize, and adjust job schedule to maximize machine utilization and meet due dates.
- Maintains tool databases, machine tool information, programming standards, and backups of machine specific settings and program information.
