About the Role:
Responsible for ensuring all business operational related activities, planned and executed effectively to meet the requirements.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Project delivery
- Actively contribute to test planning by effective analysis of requirements and subsequent test approach and test script development
- Ensure that all User Stories delivered as part of the sprint are of production quality
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Sr Test Engineer, Scrum Master and Development engineers to ensure project success
- Communicate pro-actively on all aspects of progress, issues, improvement opportunities, etc during the project
- People engagement
- Provide clear, constructive feedback on areas that need improvement, along with suggestions on how they can be addressed
- Process/Risk/Quality of deliverables
- Develop and demonstrate competency in Agile/SCRUM delivery process
- Demonstrate an uncompromising "Quality First" focus and approach to work and delivery
- Responsible for production quality deliverables
- Customer focus
- Think on end-user perspective to ensure that all deliverables align with customer/PO expectations, and promote the end-user perspective within the team during the analysis of requirements and test case design
- Innovation & Continuous improvement
- Demonstrate commitment to innovation by actively learning and implementing new technical tools / methods / approaches and showcasing them to the team and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities in and implement actions to improve the current process and deliver efficiencies in the work environment, technology, quality, repeatability and delivery confidence.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with information technology/test background or equivalent
- Required to have at-least 3 years of experience in Information Technology Industry
- Required to have at-least 2 years of manual software testing
- Experience/knowledge on Automation software testing will be an add on
- Must have tested the applications developed using technologies like SharePoint online, Office365, MS SQL, Azure etc
- Must have used the tools: Azure DevOps/Jira/Rally, MS SQL Server management studio, Microsoft Test Manager
- Ability to translate functional requirements into high-quality test cases
- Great team player who can explain concepts and functional requirements and help team members to overcome obstacles
- Pro-actively seeks improvements to the way we do work and test solutions. Always stays updated with latest technologies and can map new opportunities to our organizational goals
- Experience working with Agile (Scrum) project team development methodologies
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Positive attitude, decisive but humble when needed, puts the team first
