We are looking for a GIB Business Analyst - Team Lead (m/f/d) to join our SAP Competence Center in Stuttgart. The GIB Business Analyst Team Lead in close collaboration with the Manager of the Run & Maintain Team is responsible for ensuring the appropriate delivery of S4 HANA Support Services by the Business Analysts in the Run & Maintain Team in the area of GIB (Planning). 

Scope of your role

  • Coach Team Members to achieve the goals of the team
  • Structure and Track work in the own area of responsibility
  • Consolidate requirements in related area of responsibility, support prioritization and increase response time to business needs
  • Identify opportunities to simplify applications (pertinent to each area of responsibility) with a view to removing complexity from the organization and improve productivity
  • Work closely with Process Engineers and Subject Matter Experts from business across TSS to understand the application requirements, and translate them into functional requirements and technical requirements close to SAP standard and best practices
  • Configure the system as agreed with Business Process Engineers and other stakeholders
  • Participate in feasibility studies (change requests) for system enhancements
  • Compile specificatons for development and technical implementation (e.g. reports, forms, interfaces & integration etc.)
  • Work closely with SAP Competency Center, Project Teams, IT Project Management Office to coordinate/support technical implementation
  • Monitor system activities (e.g. update requests, locks etc.), interfaces (e.g. RFC/IDOC processing) and batch jobs, and ensure appropriate usage of the system
  • Document functionality, create application manuals and develop training materials
  • Organize and perform User Trainings in cooperation with key-users and process engineers as applicable
  • Support the creation of Business Cases, participate feasibility studies or PoC’s, prepare work effort estimates for business requests, software change requests, system enhancements or projects
  • Assist and consult business representatitves during the implementation of change management tasks
  • Provide Application Support for users, key users and subject matter experts by following Service Desk Processes and usage of the ticketing system
  • Testing of SAP configuration to ensure the system is meeting specified needs
  • Support colleagues and users during the various test-phases for systems & applications
  • Sign-off release into quality and into production together with business, Process Engineers and Technical Services
  • Assist the IT-Manager with organizing work, evaluating solution designs, controlling change and provide day to day coordination with other SAP analysts

What defines you

  • Fluent in English language 
  • Team player with strong analytical and communication skills, required to interact with both IT resources as well as business users
  • Understanding of industrial / commercial business processes, in the area of Planning
  • Application Business Process Analysis background with consolidated experience in the business analyst role (5 + years)
  • Self-motivated with ability to coordinate projects and report status and progress
  • Interest in supporting international community
  • Able to travel and work effectively in a remote situation dealing with all levels of the organization
  • Proven process application knowledge background in GIB
  • Ability to identify pain points / weaknesses and to propose amendments to existing application processes
  • Ability to mentor/guide other resources within the same SAP disciplines and drive project success
  • Ability to moderate and explain complex topics in the assigned expertise area throughout project life-cycle
  • Must be able to lead, design, implement and coordinate work that requires cross-functional collaboration (within and outside SAP)
  • Leading small to mid-size teams as part of a bigger implementation team during all phases of a SAP implementation project / programme
