What does the role provide you?
The Senior Software Engineer role will be a part of a new team being formed to develop the next generation of D&M Central Monitoring System. It would provide you with an opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and build full product development lifecycle knowledge. Along with technical skills, the role would provide an opportunity to build your leadership skills.

What your Key Responsibilities would look like:
- Design & Develop quality software solutions as per the functional requirements and timeframe of the project.
- Responsible for successful delivery of solutions which meets the need of internal and external customers.
- Participate in and provide quality assurance activities, including documentation, code reviews and testing.
- Partner with other team members to provide mentorship and guidance.
- Actively involved in continuous improvement of software practices and tools.
- Be an advocate for adoption of Agile/Scrum practice, methodologies, and attitudes.
What you will bring:
It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following skills and experience:
- 7+ years of technology experience.
- Extensive Java8+ development experience at an enterprise level.
- Expertise in design patterns and clean coding practices.
- Microservices/RESTful service design.
- Expertise in SQL Databases. Experience in ingesting & reporting time-series and relational data is a plus.
- Experience with Spring, SpringBoot frameworks.
- Experience with Docker.
- Familiarity with MQTT/RabbitMQ and/or other live data acquisition mechanisms.
- Familiarity with TDD/BDD is a plus.
- Experience in Agile Software Development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automations.
- A keen desire to write code.
The Must Haves:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field or its equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship/Permanent Residency or a valid visa with working rights in Australia.
