Summary of Role:

Responsible for ensuring all manufacturing operational related activities are planned and executed effectively to meet customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring all manufacturing operational related activities are planned and executed effectively to meet customer requirements. Direct involvement in the areas of materials requirements planning and manufacturing resource planning including purchasing, production control, shipping, and receiving.
  • Ensures purchase order systems and procedures are followed when procuring raw materials, accessories, and packaging with attention to costs, quality and timely delivery.
  • Proficient with the computerized software system related to all areas of manufacturing planning, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Actively supports the Quality, Safety, and Environmental Programs.
  • Communicates with appropriate company personnel related to conflicts in any planned activities which will jeopardize customer service level.
  • Monitors inventory levels including accuracy by cycle counts, periodic physical inventories and excess/obsolete conditions.

 

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • BS/BA in related field; 5+ years related experience and/or training
  • Working knowledge of ERP & Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written
  • Able to understand and analyze vendor programs, the company’s purchasing and inventory methods and make recommendations regarding purchasing and inventory policy.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Buyer/Planner, Shipper/Receiver, Master Scheduler

Physical Demands:  Regularly required to move about the facility

Personal Protective Equipment:  As required
