Summer Test Intern, Engineer

Work within the Testing & Technology Center Laboratory to support the testing of rubber, PTFE, and plastic components to validate sealing system designs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and conducting of product testing
- Conduct research activities and analyze technical reports
- Assist in the design and upgrade of electrical control systems
- Learn PLC programming to help make modifications to existing programs
- Assist in the design of data acquisition systems for monitoring test equipment status
- Create testing work instructions and update currently released documents
- Additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Applicant will be at least a Freshman in academic standing in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Experience with MS Office suite
- CAD experience preferred
- Experience with LabVIEW or other data acquisition software/hardware helpful
Competencies
- Perform mathematical calculations and analysis in solving assigned problems
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
