For the Information Systems & Processes department, IT Logistics Projects team, we are looking for an SAP Business Analyst (m/f/d) – Logistics & Warehousing (EWM).
As an SAP Business Analyst Logistics & Warehousing, you are responsible to configure & maintain the SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) System and further connected systems. You work closely with process owners, business process engineers, business analysts of related systems & modules as well as other stakeholders on design, implementation & maintenance of warehousing & intralogistics processes in S/4HANA. You will be part of the STEP project team to implement our new and highly automated European Service & Logistics Center.
Scope of your role
- Understand business requirements and analyze relevant processes in Warehouse & Logistics
- Work closely with Process Engineers and Subject Matter Experts from businesses across TSS to understand the application requirements, and translate them into functional requirements and technical requirements close to SAP standards and best practices
- Configure the system as agreed with Business Process Engineers and other stakeholders
- Compile specifications for development and technical implementation (e.g. reports, forms, interfaces & integration, etc.)
- Work closely with the Technical Services department to coordinate/support the technical implementation of the automated warehouse
- Analyze and Debug ABAP Code to a certain degree
- Participate in system upgrades and the installation of Support/Enhancement Packages, by performing required repository adjustments (SPAU)
- Consistent and regular archiving of data objects belonging to the assigned SAP modules
- Document functionality, create application manuals and develop training materials
- Organize and perform User Training in cooperation with key users and process engineers as applicable
What defines you
- Degree in an IT-related discipline, e.g. Informatics, Business and Information Technology or equivalent
- Several years of (techno-functional) experience in customizing the SAP EWM Module (EWM Embedded and/or EWM Decentralized) and in interfacing typical warehouse assets (e.g. scan guns), ideally combined with knowledge in transport management and/or GTS
- Skills in ABAP, ABAP OO, or Webdynpro development beneficial
- Strong understanding of the SAP software toolset and familiar with SAP Systems concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience with S/4HANA, alternatively SAP ECC 6.0
- Basic understanding of associated processes (Quality Assurance, Supplier Integration, Vendor Managed Inventory, Work order Processes, Consignment Stock, etc.)
- Experience with Automotive & Aerospace processes – ideally in combination with Value Added Services is beneficial
- Experience with highly automated warehouses is desired
- International project and large project experience is desired
- Fluent in English and German
