USA - Streamwood, IL


Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer performs a variety of functions concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Lead the integration of new customer products into our existing Quality Management System for a successful launch into manufacturing.
  2. Manage the AS9100D/ISO 14001 Internal Audits and Supplier Audits.
  3. Inspecting and documenting product dimensions using micrometers, calipers, CMM and other metrology equipment (Incoming and Production).
  4. Supports the AS9100D / ISO 14001:2015 Integrated Policy Manual and Procedures. Perform Internal Quality System Audits as schedule. Make recommendations for improvement of the IMS.
  5. Responsible for follow-up and dispositions of the Returned Material Authorizations (MRA’s) and prepare daily MRB agenda with the assistance of the MRB Group members.
  6.  Responsible for quality measurement reports for final customer submissions.
  7. The Quality Engineer will assist the Quality Manager develop Internal Manufacturing Specifications, Quality Work Instructions and Visual Aids to assist Production in manufacturing quality products.
  8. The Quality Engineer will train manufacturing associates on Quality related Procedures, Work Instructions and will verify any training performed by the Quality Inspector.
  9. Lead projects successfully through the NPI process development to manufacturing.


Education and Experience

Required:  Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.

Preferred: 3-5 Years Experience as a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing engineer role.

Work Environment

The employee will work both in an office environment and on the production floor. While in the plant the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.  The noise level in the plant work environment can be loud. As directed by the management, this position is required to perform miscellaneous duties to ensure acceptable production and quality standards; insure a safe and healthful workplace; and maintain the facility in a clean and orderly fashion.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb ladders; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The position involves sitting, walking and lifting less than 50 pounds infrequently throughout the day.  When lifting anything the employee feels in beyond their capacity, or anything in excess of 50 pounds, the employee is to request assistance in lifting from another employee.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time day-shift position, and days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of shift may vary depending on business needs, but typically runs Monday - Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm, with a schedule of 40 hours per week.
