Summary of Role
The incumbent will work in close partnership with cross-functional teams across the organization (including Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, R&D and Finance) to enhance master data process, governance, and quality. This position improves processes and governance to ensure data integrity, data standards, and change management. The individual selected would be responsible for the integrity of master data, the continuous improvement of master data quality, and activities related to business change projects. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the newly formed Americas Data Governance Team. This team is a cross functional team responsible for development of Master Data Management maturity in Trelleborg Sealing Solutions (TSS) Americas. Additionally, you may lead key business improvement initiatives.
Tasks and Responsibility
- Provide support and guidance for the Americas Data Governance Committee/Team
- Lead data governance and Master Data Management improvement initiatives
- Prepare a data foundation (processes, data structure, data quality) that supports and brings alignment for a future SAP S4/HANA and MDG implementation
- Continuously improve master data processes to adapt to new requirements such as continued market segmentation of the TSS business model
- Drive item master data quality initiatives across TSS Americas. Increasing the completeness, consistency, and accuracy of TSS Americas Master Data
- Support Master Data needs for project related data preparation e.g. business transfers, acquisitions/integrations and system implementations
- Document and improve data processes, workflows, and rules
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain, information systems or related discipline required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Prior experience working with Data Governance & Data Quality tools e.g. SAP MDG and Information Steward
- Minimum 1 to 2 years data accuracy (attention to detail) experience conducting complex data analysis using excel and other Microsoft Office products (Excel macros experience preferred)
- Experience working independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from manager
- Preferred Software knowledge: JDE Enterprise One, SAP S4/HANA, electronic workflows preferred, and basic understanding of SQL
- Project Management experience
