ROLE SUMMARY

Design and development of innovative sealing solutions for high performance applications through;

  • Working directly with customer engineers, providing technical support to find innovative solutions at the forefront of technical innovation
  • Presenting solutions with supporting engineering analysis

Ownership from intiation through product development and production

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an in depth knowledge of products and applications
  • Create and deliver design proposals through the use of CAD and FEA
  • Maintain development records and provide development reports
  • Analyse and report on products returned from customers for failure or post test feedback
  • Liase with sales/marketing functions providing support on products, materials and costings
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of company and competitive technologies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in engineering discipline
  • 4 -7 years seal design
  • 2/3D CAD (Autodesk preferred)
  • FEA (Abaqus/Marc)
  • Rubber/polymer knowledge
