Are you passionate about building a robust and responsive Supply Chain to meet the customers’ need? Do you feel energized to improve continuously and drive the change through the organization? If your answer is yes, then you might be the right candidate for us!

We are looking for an open-minded and driven supply chain manager with a hands-on, “can-do” mindset to lead and develop a best-in-class supply chain. You will lead the Supply Chain department and several teams, including material and demand planning, dispatch and customer service, to streamline our processes and ensure our commitment to the customers are met with the right cost, lead time and inventory level. You will play a pivotal role in the development and success of this team and actively participate in Supply Chain Excellence initiatives to improve our capability to meet the customers’ requirements.

As one of the managers of the plant, you have a continuous improvement mindset and are passionate in supporting current and future business needs with the voice of the customer at the forefront. We expect you have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to professionally challenge opinions when required.  

Your responsibilities: 

  • Build and lead the supply chain department of several teams in Velten site, including material call-off, dispatch, demand planning and customer service
  • Forward planning to ensure smooth material supply and production plan align with the order book to meet our monthly sales target
  • Balance raw material/finishing goods availability and inventory level
  • Responsible for inventory and actively manage it at the right level according to the business target
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to shorten the lead time for selected products
  • Participate the Supply Chain Excellence initiative and support Business Unit Supply Chain Manager in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Drive and implement process optimization projects across different parts of Supply Chain functions, and proactively share the best practices with AVS global Supply Chain network

Your profile & skills

  • You successfully completed your University degree in Business/Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Besides a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Supply Chain / Planning / S&OP functions, you also have experience leading a team
  • You have a strong continuous improvement mindset, with proven track record of driving and implementing changes successfully
  • You have excellent analytical skills, and you are comfortable using data and facts to support your decisions and actions
  • You are proactive, driven, and assertive. Importantly, you can face conflict professionally and convince others
  • You speak English and German at the business proficient level
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel
