We are a contract manufacturer for the healthcare industry and specialize in Engineering Development, Manufacturing, Assembly and Packaging of medical devices and combination product. We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our Medical Device Assembly personnel with manufacturing experience to join our team. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, 401 k, and look forward to learning more about you.

Responsible for on time, first pass yield of product to customer at customers’ specification. Manage all resources to achieve this responsibility and provide leadership necessary to grow and develop staff for success. Address failures to meet this responsibility and implement remedies, within Company guidelines, to assure these failures do not repeat. Responsible for continually improving processes and removing waste from the production system.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages and organizes production operations to utilize skills and experience of workforce to the best advantage.
  • Creates documentation necessary and complies with TSS Quality system standards.
  • Plans the use of facilities, equipment, and personnel to meet current and future manufacturing requirements.
  • Acts as the liaison between management and the workforce to maintain the highest possible level of employee/employer relationships.
  • Provides leadership to grow and mentor staff and provide recognition, as appropriate.
  • Expedites, implements, and coordinates approved policies and procedures to resolve personnel and manufacturing problems.
  • Delegates responsibilities and appropriate authority to staff personnel to achieve maximum efficiency through proper use of skills, man-hours, machines, and equipment.
  • Instructs and assists personnel and inspects work to ensure compliance with specifications as to dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
  • Uses proper safety devices, equipment, and methods and maintenance of general housekeeping; maintains a constant awareness of and takes corrective action on hazardous conditions and practices.
  • Participates in plant management meetings to assist in planning and to make recommendations on matters related to manufacturing.
  • Implements general administrative and technical programs such as communications, staffing, and employee training.
  • Drafts and conducts periodic performance reviews in a timely manner.
  • Performs duties in cross-trained areas, as required.
  • Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.
  • Acts as integral member of their department group, in support of their defined department and TSS Company mission, vision, values, and goals.
  • Shares professionally related talents with colleagues or staff within the company.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned from time to time by the employer or its designated representative.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  •  5-7 years of exempt level experience in a production environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a regulated field. 
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of applicable corporate policies, Work Instructions, and SOP’s.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with coworkers and company.
