We are looking for a SAP Business Analyst (m/f/d) Data Migrations to join our SAP Competence Center in Stuttgart, Germany to contribute to the success of an international SAP S4/Hana implementation project          

Scope of your role

  • Design, implement and execute data migrations for master and transactional data from legacy ERP systems into SAP S/4
  • Analyze legacy ERP data structures, work out mapping rules into S/4, and build custom migration objects if required
  • Collaborate with the business teams in terms of data cleansing and data enrichment activities
  • Develop robust and reusable data migration routines and data mappings using BODS and Data Migration Cockpit
  • Plan the data migration cycles considering data object dependencies, ensure adequate test scenarios, and support the creation of corresponding cutover plans
  • Monitor data migration execution, establish data quality rules and initiate performance improvements
  • Document functionality, create application manuals, and develop training materials

What defines you

  • Degree in an IT-related discipline e.g. Informatics, Business and Information Technology or equivalent
  • Extensive experience with data migrations as part of global SAP rollout projects, ideally S4/Hana, using professional ETL-Tools such as BODS, Informatica, or MicroStrategy
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Migration Object Modeler and the design of custom migration objects
  • Good understanding of SAP data structures and business processes, in Logistics/Production and/or Finance/Controlling
  • Advanced SQL and SQL Script knowledge, and at least basic programming experience (ABAP, ABAP OO, or Python)
  • Basic knowledge in data modeling and data architecture affairs, preferably gained in a data warehousing environment
