From high performance marine fenders to docking and mooring equipment. Please note this position requires 50 % international travelling within Europe (as soon as possible again due to COVID regulations).

About the job

As a Sales Manager you translate our product possibilities to customer-based solutions. As the linking pin to the market you can adapt perfect to the (end)customers vision and strategy and be the source of ideas, inspiration and technical mentorship related to rubber marine fendering solutions. You initiate projects and together with colleagues from design engineering you build a customer specific product solution that aligns to what adds long term value. Your main goal is to actively build and maintain global relationships all over the supply chain. From engineering offices to (end)customers.

You will handle the full cycle sales process from lead to order. Because you collaborate closely with your customers you can allocate pitfalls from the beginning and swiftly adept to the constantly evolving environment. Your role has a large networking component in order to understand the nature and the potential of the projects working together with different partners (Consultants, Port Authorities, Contractors). You craft your approach strategy yourself and here’s where you can be creative since there are many unexplored paths we can take to connect with the market.

About the ideal candidate
You are open, pragmatic, proactive and a networker by nature. You connect easily with people on all levels and you are culture-sensitive. You breathe project management and you switch from a technical to a business focused approach in an instant. You think global and act local knowing your markets well (and they know you). As a result- and customer focused teammate you show financial acuity and you have a well-developed sense for commercial opportunities.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable with relevant technical background and/or a bachelor’s in business combined with validated technical experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role and able to demonstrate a successful track record
    Passionate for our products and a strong vision on the future of water management
  • Experience with infrastructure projects in contractor or engineering context
  • Full professional proficiency in English, Dutch and German (speaking and writing)
