Summary of Role 

The JDE Projects Specialist role is responsible for serving as the subject matter expert for JDE implementation projects and improvement efforts supporting the Marketing Americas Industrial and Healthcare & Medical organizations. This role will manage multiple small, medium to high complexity projects related to the implementation of our platform. These projects will involve not only the establishment of business processes and configuration of JDE, but also require executive reporting and leading cross-functional implementation teams. This role will serve as the business project leader and participate on cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise information systems that meet the business needs and are designed with customer satisfaction in mind. This role will also serve as an internal consultant to other business units, freely sharing knowledge and experience to help facilitate successful projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for JDE implementations
  • Supports business process improvements to reduce overall cost to serve; challenges team on work flows
  • Works collaboratively with project teams to ensure functionality is delivered as designed
  • Completes system set-ups, as needed
  • Develops thorough test scenarios and completes rigorous testing to ensure Go-Lives are executed smoothly with minimal business disruption
  • Participates in CRP, UAT and non-negative impact testing, as needed
  • Serves as a consultant to other business units, sharing information and experience to assist with their implementations or improvement projects
  • Manages the business side of all ERP projects in accordance with the TSS Project Management Model including, but not limited to:
    • Developing project plans and tracking progress according to it
    • Managing changes in scope, schedule and costs
    • Measures project performance in line with project and organizational KPIs
    • Performs risk management and mitigation
    • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
    • Prepares and delivers project performance reports

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience working with JD Edwards ERP systems
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments
  • 5+ years business experience required, prior project management experience a plus
