Maintenance Technician

 

Job Description: We are seeking a Maintenance Technician. We are seeking someone with qualified experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, & automation.

Company offers competitive salary & benefits. This position is responsible for set up, adjustments and maintaining of processing and secondary equipment.

The Maintenance Mechanic will assist in the preventive maintenance and repair of the manufacturing equipment and building. This position requires a person that is a self-starter, can work unsupervised, and has the ability analyze and solve mechanical problems and read schematics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment.
  • Able to plan for and take corrective action on related problems found.
  • Test equipment to check operations.
  • Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspection of equipment.
  • Repair blow molding presses.
  • Must be able to make quick decisions and work independent with little supervision.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical blueprints.
  • Ability to present information to management.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete situations.
  • Strong written, oral and computer skills.
    • Pneumatics, electrical, mechanical & hydraulics.
    • Develop, maintain and insure the implementation of the preventive maintenance programs for production equipment and facilities.
    • Mechanical repairs.
    • Hydraulic Troubleshooting and repair.
    • Pneumatic Troubleshooting and repair.
    • Troubleshooting and repair of Electrical Circuits & Components.
    • Understanding of the current NEC.
    • Installation of single and three phase wiring.
    • Program Variable Speed Drives.
    • Knowledge of PLC systems.
    • Proper use of hand and electrical tools.
    • Document all repairs and preventive maintenance, with a view to continuous improvement.
    • Work in collaboration with the Production Manager and the Process Engineer for continuous improvement of the production tools and equipment.
    • Organize and maintain the spare parts program.
    • Ability in the near term to lead a small maintenance group.

     

    Position is mainly a day shift position with overtime and/or call-in if needed to support production.
