We are looking for a SAP Business Analyst Data Management, S/4 Hana Master Data Governance (MDG) to join our SAP Competence Center in Stuttgart, Germany.

Scope of your role

  • Understand business requirements and analyze processes for the governed setup/maintenance of master data objects (materials, customers and vendors)
  • Support the business in the design of governance processes, organization and roles
  • Implement and deploy SAP MDG, configure the system, and setup workflows according business process needs
  • Implement and maintain BRF+ rulesets to ensure data quality, establish monitoring processes, and define appropriate KPI’s
  • Document system functionality and customizing, create application manuals, develop training materials, and perform user trainings

What defines you

  • Degree in an IT related discipline e.g. Informatics, Business and Information Technology or equivalent
  • Proven full lifecycle implementation expertise of SAP MDG, ideally with a S/4 co-deployment approach
  • Good knowledge of SAP S/4 data model and masterdata objects in SD/MM/PP/FI/CO (material, customer and vendor) and referencing ERP business processes; S/4 business partner concept is a must
  • Robust ABAP and SQL knowledge, combined with the understanding of SAP interfacing technology such as BAPI, RFC/IDOC and Web Services is beneficial
  • Knowledge in data migration, data modelling and data architecture affairs using ETL tools such as BODS or Informatica complement the ideal candidate profile

The SAP S/4 Business Analyst for FIORI Embedded Analytics is responsible to analyse the reporting requirements of the business, targeting the useage for Analytics and Fact Sheet Apps in our S/4 Hana environment.  He identifies the FIORI apps, collaborates with the Enterprise Data Warehouse Team to decide on their relevance for operational or strategic reporting, and coordinates/performs all activities required to provide the Apps to our business users.

The business analyst represents the main IT contact for our business users in terms of operational reporting needs, and takes ownership for implementation, training, testing and helpdesk affairs. He is supposed to configure FIORI apps, performs smaller adjustments to the underlying Core Data Services and OData objects if needed. And for larger developments/custom-build apps he compiles the functional specification and coordinates the development activities with other programming experts.

Scope of your role

  • Understand business requirements and analyze operational reporting needs (S/4 Hana: Embedded Analytics)
  • Identify relevant FIORI apps to address business needs
  • Position and decide about analytical solutions together with the Data Warehouse team (Embedded Analytics via Fiori versus Data Warehouse Operations)
  • Coordinate the FIORI app activation in the S/4 System in terms of technical setup, roles & privileges, testing, and functional usage
  • Configuration/Adaptation of FIORI Apps using available SAP Toolsets (e.g. KPI Modeler, Query Designer etc.)

  • Monitor system activities (e.g. update requests, locks etc.), interfaces (e.g. RFC/IDOC processing) and batch jobs, and ensure appropriate usage of the system
  • Document functionality, create application manuals and develop training materials
  • Support the creation of Business Cases, participate feasibility studies or PoC’s, prepare work effort estimates for business requests, software change requests, system enhancements or projects
  • Assist and consult business representatitves during the implementation of change management tasks
  • Testing of SAP configuration to ensure the system is meeting specified needs
  • Sign-off release into quality and into production together with business, Process Engineers and Technical Services

What defines you

  • Team player with strong focus on FI/CO topics with analytical and communication skills
  • Understanding of industrial / commercial business processes in FI/CO area
  • Application Business Process Analysis background with consolidated FI/CO experience in the business analyst role (2 to 5 years)
  • Self-motivated with ability to coordinate projects and report status and progress
  • Able to travel and work effectively in a remote situation dealing with all levels of the organization
  • Proven process application knowledge background (pertinent to the area of responsibility)
  • Ability to identify pain points / weaknesses and to propose amendments to existing application processes
  • Ability to moderate and explain complex topics in the assigned expertise area throughout project life-cycle
  • Leading small to mid-size teams as part of a bigger implementation team during all phases of a SAP implementation project / programme
  • Fluent in English language
